1st- On March 1st, 1841, Blanche K Bruce was born. He was a politician. He represented Mississippi as a Republican senator. He was the first elected black senator to serve a full term (1875-1881)
2nd- On the 2nd of March, 1867, Howard University was chartered. Chartered is when something is considered professional. Howard University a private historically black university and even though the majority of people that attend are african american, they accept all races.
3rd- On the 3rd of March, 1836, Jefferson Long was born. Jefferson Long was a politician from Georgia. He is the second African American to be sworn into the US house of representatives.
4th- On March 4th, 1875, Blanche Bruce was elected the first black senator to serve a full
