In the book Nimona, there are some examples that show no character is completely good or bad. An example would be, Blackheart and Nimona discover that The Director is planning on putting jaderoot in the kingdom’s crops. On pg. 177 Blackheart gives the cure for jaderoot to the individuals who are sick. The Director isn’t happy that Blackheart gave them the cure so he sends Goldenloin to kill them. Because Goldenloin is supposed to be “the hero” he warns Blackheart that he will come for them. These situations in the book show that not …show more content…
For example, a few years ago there was a deaf pizza person and the police told him to stop walking. Being deaf, he didn’t hear them so they shot him with beanbag shotguns while he was yelling “i’m deaf” the entire time. This shows that the police; who are supposed to keep us safe (good) have done things that could/would hurt us. Another example is that John Thompson got accidently bumped into a woman and he got tazed by a police officer near by.
Furthermore, I think that it is important on understanding why we do, what we do. Such as, why do good people do bad things? There is a psychological force called Tunnel Vision, which refers to being set on one goal and doing anything to get there. There is another force called Social bond theory, where people will start to feel inhuman and that could cause the individual to steal or commit fraud. Another reason could be Time Pressure, where the individual just sets out for whatever the want/need to do and ignore the people around
