SeaWorld Entertainment management has noted the discontent of our fellow shareholders and wishes to express our efforts to meet our shareholders’ unfulfilled dreams. In the recent past, we have suffered significant fall in stock market competitiveness, poor image and general slump in profits. Top in the list of the critical matters of concern include the increasing criticism towards treatment of the orca whales, which has resulted in a negative public image. The overall effect of this observation is reflected in the fall in attendance by customers. Hence, there has been a significant reduction in stock prices. The film Blackfish has a great effect on the image of SeaWorld Entertainment, which translates to reduced revenues hence low shareholder returns. It is therefore important that urgent and strategic measures are accommodated by our entire shareholders’ fraternity in an effort to restore the firm.

As a step towards reversing the negative publicity we have gotten from the perceived animal cruelty, our fellow shareholders are assured of an immediate change of tactics. These are in line with the moral obligations of our company and our esteemed shareholders to recognize the rights of the whales. It is therefore important to reconcile efforts to maximize returns with the interest of the animals in question. For that reason, we seek to revitalize our policies on entertainment approach and adhere to rules and regulations that govern the interest of animals against harsh treatment.
