What is black mold? Are there other kinds of mold? How do you know which one you have? What’s the big deal about black mold anyway?
Once you become an adult, who’s responsible for your home or apartment, you have a whole new set of problems. The biggest one is how to stay safe in your home. One culprit that will harm the overall safety of you and/or your family is black mold. According to moldpedia.com http://moldpedia.com/black-mold-stachybotrys , black mold or toxic black mold is a common name used for Stachybotrys Chartarum; “It is one of the most infamous toxic molds because it can grow in houses and is extremely dangerous to humans.” This type of mold produces toxins called mycotoxins.

The first step is to establish whether you have mold or not. Do you smell a musty, earthy scent inside your home or basement? Having a musty, earthy scent present in your home is a sign that mold may be lurking somewhere, so it’s time to investigate.
