Mohammed Matthes, The key term I chose are appropriation, intertextuality, parody, social comparison and social Penetration theory. I have picked these terms because the words match the show I watched. The show I have chosen to watch is Black Mirror. I particularly watched the Waldo moment and White Christmas to write my response. I have chosen this T.V show because I have heard a lot of good things about it. Including from you, in class you mentioned that we should watch the Black Mirror. I enjoyed watching Waldo Moment because it reminded me of how Trump run his campaign. He mocked the politicians and used parody to move his agenda. Also how Trump ruined Hillary presidency by being loud, racist, misogynistic, xenophobia and Islamophobia. Waldo Moment showed that how a political comedian ran for political office by appropriating the political scene and started gaining real traction, that is how Trump became president of the United State as well. I like the fact that he played a relationship advisor because I feel like he knows a lot about relationship because he is quite attractive individual himself. However I didn’t like how he made himself free from prison manipulating this friend to confess his sin. I think he used a social penetration theory because first he started cooking for him than he kept asking him question to get answer. When Jon was asking his friend a question he was using intertextuality too because he was reference the full story of his friend past and how his friend meet his girlfriend. When Jon was telling his friend about his job his friend was getting jealous because Jon had awesome job, his job was advising other man to fall in love with ladies.
