Black Mirror Predications

The Black Mirror rough draft What are predications? They foretell what might happen in the future to people or even objects. We can see many different predications in movies, TV shows, and even books. Some predications can come true just in a matter of years and maybe in months. In the Netflix TV show, The Black Mirror shows many predictions of where our world is coming to now days. In the episode, Nosedive, we see many different things that shows how we could become in the future. One prediction the episode makes is that judging / rating. We see this in the episode when she walks around everyone will look at each other to see each other ranking to see if they would like to commutate with them. This is similar to our current reality in that we actually use social media such as Facebook, Snapchat, etc. to judge each other from what we wear to even what we drink. In addition, we judge each other when we see each other on the street. For example, if you were driving an old car. People would sit and laugh at you because you are not driving the most expensive and clean car. Another prediction in “Nosedive” is technology. This occurs in the episode when her supposed to be friend called her after her ranking had fell to tell her to not even come the wedding. Because, she was lower class now she does not want her to ruin wedding. It is believable that this will happen because we already have fake friendships and attitudes towards each other now of days. We see this when any teenage friendship mostly in high school. We try to hang with people we do not like just to bust our popularity in the world. We also see this happening with adults in the work force. Adults will try to suck up to higher people in the company to get good words about them.
