Most blacks and other minorities are not getting the fair treatment for the society they are supposed to receive. Studies have found that "blacks and Hispanics treated for a broken leg received pain medications significantly less often than white patients with the same injury" (Kristof,1). They are forced to," remain a shadow, timid, but a survivor" in order to make it through the day (Staples, 2). As Staples further explains, he says that he was unable to go to work without being chased by security due to the of the color of his skin. This makes many people become uncomfortable in their surroundings, leading to negative thoughts and feelings. Race does not judge the personality of people, whether they are black, hispanic,or asian . This is a problem because when people feel hated, their personality takes a turn for the worst, affecting the person physically and mentally. Everyone should be treated equally, but with this occurring, anybody could be a victim of these cruel
