Today, an overwhelming number of American women choose to alter their body in order to fit the physical attractiveness created by our culture. Women’s feel an immense amount of pressured from the media, friends and families members to look beautiful risking their lives for black market procedures to make their buttocks bigger. Females are going to extreme lengths to reach their physical desires but, when it comes down to it, just how far are too far.

I feel very happy that I choose to research the black-market of silicone butt injections because I feel like I have the ability to help other women’s. We spoke about the side effects and the legal and illegal way for this procedure. After our introduction, we then showed a 5 minutes YouTube clip named “Shocking Side Effects of Black Market Butt Injections—The Doctors” where it spoke in depth about the problem in America. The YouTube video was about the story of a woman who lost both of her arms and legs due to the fact that she had received illegal butt injections. After the short video, we then spoke about the story of Kelly Mayhew, a 34-year-old beautiful woman who died in a basement in Queens, New York because of complications from a black market butt injection performed by an unlicensed person, who is still on the run. This is an underground practice where people get butt augmentation with an unlicensed person who often uses unbranded solutions. Usually, these people inject into their victim's cement, tire sealant, kitchen oil and crazy glue. These procedures are usually performed in motel rooms or apartments and the instruments are not sterilized. This article was very helpful for my topic because it shows the risks of getting unsafe butt
