With the economy and the way it is, people cannot afford to spend money on something that will kill them. According to lung.org the average cost of cigarettes is 5 dollars and 50 cents. This may not seem like much, but if you consider the amount of people who smoke a pack a day for a year it will cost around 2,011 dollars. There are much more important ways that they can be spending their money.

Nevertheless; If it were harder for people to get cigarettes, than less people would die from lung cancer. More people would spend their money on things that they actually need. If they increased the average price of a pack, than less people would be able to afford it, and it would decrease the amount of littering the buds that you see all over the ground everywhere. If they could come up with something that gives you the same feeling as cigarettes, but doesn’t hurt everyone’s health than that could help the economy.

So you can see, for these three reasons, our community needs to leave smoking in the past. You've seen that it is not safe for our community and that it causes plenty of problems for everyone. If everyone were to understand how dangerous black lung is or that you can die from a disease caused by smoking, than smoking would be a thing of the past, and our world would be a better and healthier
