Issue
The issue that I am examining is the impact of racism in America. The Black Lives Matter movement as well as the mistreatment of different races has become a huge problem within this society. This issue has been a prevalent within our society. It has been in the spotlight so much given the current Presidential election and the presidential candidate Donald Trump and his opinion of different races, their behaviors and prevention of integration within America. For a long time race wars have divided our country as well as feuded wars with other countries. The foundation of the United States was built on the idea and exploration of racism through slavery. Outlets that classify race and race issue and even ignore that there is a problem within or community as well as condoning the activities of racism and stereotypes harms the society. This does not promote a resolution to this ongoing problem. The spreading of these negative ideas changes the mind state of people within this country and promotes hate within our communities. For example, during the Donald Trump rallies there are tons of fights against African America protestors, Muslim protestors or even people who attend the rallies that don’t seem to “fit” in with the supporters. When these sources report on these issues and soften the news by saying things such as how the protesters are angry about the countries state which is why they incite violence during Donald Trump rallies. This makes it difficult for the issue of race to be dissolved. It is okay in this society to have a democracy but only if that democracy does not promote the decline of another racial group and promotes violence. This democracy in return should promote unity and equality for all
