Pessimistic Problems Of African American Society

Superior Essays
Pessimistic problems have recently surfaced in the United States causing many issues between the American Population. To imagine if one of the founding fathers were to see how America is today would be hideous. Thomas Jefferson would probably view America as a country that is spiraling out of control, which wouldn’t be completely out of proportion. The United States face many problems today including racial equivalency, poor political candidates, too many people on welfare, immigration laws, and the education system.

Similar actions were taken by a man who had personal feelings against police officers. In July, five Dallas Policemen were shot and killed by a Black Lives Matter member during a protest. The five officers were at the rally trying to keep everything and everyone under control when suddenly their lives were taken from them. Children lost their fathers, wives lost their husbands, and parents lost their sons. The shooter felt no remorse. The police chief of Dallas continued to negotiate with the shooter, but it only exacerbated the situation. The shooter simply laughed it off as a joke by asking, “how many did I get”. After two hours of negotiating, the shooter was noncompliant and continued making threatening words and actions, which led to the killing of the perpetrator. “Blue Lives Matter” has been the topic of conversation throughout a plethora of different social media sites. The organization was created in honor of all policmen and women serving and protecting our cities and streets. All officers are united as a family and their main goal is to keep the American citizens safe from crime, and the response they get back is hostility and malicious behavior from the Black Lives Matter organization. Actions need taken to reinstall belief in our police officers, for them to stand up for themselves against the Black Lives Matter group terrorizing our …show more content…
He has previously shown his hatred for women, illegal immigrants, and African Americans. His most famous line is “build a wall”, which refers to the wall he plans on building along the Mexico-United States border. He stands firmly for deporting illegal immigrants who take American jobs away from American citizens. He sounds like he would make an impressive candidate, but when Americans hear “Donald Trump” and “Nuclear codes” in the same sentence, they worry. Donald Trump often refers to stopping the money train which leads over to foreign countries, but doing that can be both dreadful and satisfying. In order for this country to succeed, we must keep our ties with foreign countries as they are our main means of goods. To pull the money from some of those countries could also paint a bigger target on our backs. Doing that could lead to another terrorist act similar to 9/11. Donald Trump’s views on welfare excites many middle-class citizens.
The number of people on welfare is continuing to increase from year to year. The current number of people tops well over 100,000,000. Donald Trump continues to tell the American people that those numbers will decrease tremendously if he takes over as President. His plans to reduce those numbers are to deport those that are illegal and to create more jobs by bringing back companies that we have lost to surrounding countries, where it is

Nonetheless, the radical reform would make it harder for immigrants to obtain citizenship and lead to a shortage of consumer goods. If President-elect Donald Trump believes his reforms will change America for the better, then he may be wrong. According to a journalist for the “New Orleans Advocate”, “Donald Trump has said he will punish American cities [who] fail to cooperate with federal immigration authorities seeking to detain and deport undocumented immigrants” (Sledge). His forceful tactics would spark retaliation within communities and could lead to labor strikes. With a shambled country, Americans will be able to smell the fire in the air.…

It is like the power of the Black power! And to think that the Blacks want to de-Americanize themselves is almost justice because the narratives of the country for several decades states that to earn all the “alienable” rights, they must be White. Complacency and “double-consciousness” stand in the way of any kind of social change. In some ways, the problem is maybe responding. There is a lot of anger in Black people in America, and, therefore, there are even angrier White people.…

Now we are seeing black communities develop anger towards white people and the fact that so many black lives have been lost by the hands of white officers, we also see that there is racial discrimination even in our justice system making it a corrupt one. All the race related crimes are proof that society has not been able to treat everyone equally and still thinks of their own people rather than trying to focus on everyone as a…

The death of Freddie Gray, a victim of police brutality, set off riots and protests. The reason is because it showed the reality of the harassments African-Americans face every day and how the actions of police were not held accountable. Author D. Walkins wrote in the New York Times shortly after Gray’s death that, it was not only Freddie. Walkins grew up in Baltimore and that he himself, and many others knew stories of a similar situation. He said, ”To us, the Baltimore Police Department is a group of terrorists, funded by our tax dollars, who beat on people in our community daily, almost never having to explain or pay for their actions."…

As a Republican candidate running for president, Trump thinks the immigrants are rapists, criminals, and drug dealers. Trump is bias towards the immigrants because he anticipates that the immigrants commit the majority of the crime and violence in America. From a moral standpoint, I believe Trumps immigration plan is unfair because it asserts certain groups of people to be different than the others. Although I am a U.S. citizen, my parents came from a different country. Consequently, Trump 's plan will deport my family, and my friends, and possibly your family and friends too.…

Even though many may think building a wall is rude, I personally think it is just a clever way to prevent undocumented immigrants from entering; however, I do not agree with Trump’s plan to make Mexico pay for the wall. He believes that Mexico is taking advantage of us, but America has always been a country that is willing to help. Even though we are willing to help, we should be stricter about the immigrants that are in this country, and Donald Trump has good ideas to do that. To improve America, Trump’s scare tactics will bring people from different parties and areas of the country to vote for him in this upcoming election. He uses the fears of illegal immigration and terrorism as means of getting people to go vote for him.…

When these sources report on these issues and soften the news by saying things such as how the protesters are angry about the countries state which is why they incite violence during Donald Trump rallies. This makes it difficult for the issue of race to be dissolved. It is okay in this society to have a democracy but only if that democracy does not promote the decline of another racial group and promotes violence. For instance, in the case of Eric Garner, also in New York City, the police wrestled him to the ground while using excessive force causing his death, despite his pleas for air. He was unarmed and the policemen in his case were acquitted. Also, Michael Brown, another unarmed teenager in Ferguson, Missouri, died in a fatal police shooting. Because of that officer’s non-indictment, a growing number of Americans are outraged and demanding change.
