Black Lives Matter: Discrimination In Today's Society

Black Lives Matter In a room full of white people, how many do you think would raise their hands when asked “Who would want to live life as a black citizen?” The answer would be slim-to-none. People can still see how evident black discrimination is but do not say much because it is not their problem, and that is why there needs to be a light upon the situation. Black Lives Matter is a movement started for equality of black citizens, and it has been mostly shining its light upon police brutality towards blacks. The first big case of these incidents was Rodney King’s case. He was beaten badly by 4 officers, who were later acquitted for their crimes, which triggered the LA riots. This was all the way back in 1991, and the fact that we are still having issues like this today, around 26 years later, tells us something needs to be done.
