Black Lives Matter: Argument Over Analysis

For my closing assignment for my African American Experience class, I have to write an essay that elaborates on a black organization in the United States. To make that essay an argument over evaluation essay I have to undergo three stages. The first is the purpose of my evaluation. The second is about the criteria that I have to establish for the purpose of judging, what makes it good or bad. The last one is using evidence matching the criteria and to make it engaging and persuasive. The organization that I intend to focus on is Black Lives Matter because it is a more recent than other black organizations like the NAACP. Also Black Lives Matter is more mainstream and have a vast member of my generation that partakes in it. To apply the concept of an argument over evaluation into that said essay I would personalize each of the three main stages in a way that they are evaluating Black Lives Matter as an organization. Black Lives Matter is not a progressive organization especially when it comes to African American it fails to influence legal rights policies and did not significantly change the political and social climate between people of color and the federal law enforcement in the United States. More statistic on how the organization participated in conversations on the regular bases that enforce the laws the police force have to abide by. Bringing evidence to determine how and if Black Lives Matter helped the youth by providing charts on where the money goes toward, for example, does the money goes toward supporting youth to obtain law degrees.
