A black hole is in space which it can suck you up, but you never know when it will. Black holes are dangerous but an interesting concept to learn about. So keep reading and you'll find out more than you know now. The purpose of this paper is to give you information about black wholes on how they form and describe what they do. Nothing, not even light is able to escape a black hole because of its strong gravitational pull. Black holes are the last great stage in enormous stars lifetimes that had been as big as ten to fifteen Suns. With zero force of gravity the black hole sucks up light from such a star. The light from the star then gets stuck in an orbit. Which that dark star then turns into a black hole. Matter and energy are pulled from the black …show more content…
Even though you might think black holes are huge, they are actually small in size. Black holes are nearly two million miles long. They are about four times of the sun. If the Sun's mass was equal to a black hole the sun would have a two mile radius. Since black holes are basically invisible they cannot be observed directly. Although scientists have said they exist though we don't know for sure. Scientists say they do this by measuring mass and finding large dark areas in space. Black holes are constantly pulling mass out of other stars. Which the black hole is getting bigger and the star is getting smaller. Once the black hole is big enough the star is completely gone. Black holes even exist in our own Milky Way Galaxy. These enormous features can have the mass of ten to a hundred billion Suns. Since there is so much matter in the middle of these galaxies that's what causes ballads holes to be massive. There are rumors that this black hole is in the Milky Way but there is nothing to prove it. Astronomers have said they have taken some pictures soon to be seen.
