What I have learned from your class in the month of February is that the world was a cruel place a long time ago and how they treated African Americans was just wrong. If I was an educator of children of a different race I would promote heritage and awareness in the school setting by doing activities that their culture did and maybe make a dish that is made by that specific culture and we could read some stories about some people from their heritages that made a difference or a mark in history. 4. Asian Heritage Month is in May. I would like for you to brainstorm activities we could possibly do in class. For Asian Heritage Month we could possibly do some activities like origami or we could have Ricky Zhang’s mom bring a dish and maybe we can read some passages about Asian heritage.
