Narrative summative Black Belt test

“Wake up Josiah! ¨You're going to be late!”, my father said. It was my day! And I don't mean my birthday, it was my black belt test. As I got out of bed I went to the bathroom to take a shower, in the shower I thought about the black belt test, and all of a sudden I felt something coming up then I could see my dinner from last night. When I got out of that horrible experience, When I was eating breakfast.I started getting hives on my back. It took my dad an hour to calm me down. Then it happened. My dad and I were driving in my dad's pickup truck to my black belt test. I was nervous. I had one shot or I would have to go back next year to test again.

When we started we bowed then right when he said bigen he jumped into a jumping back into and tornadoes. And right in the face. I was down. So not a good start but got right back up and kicked him right back into a backwards sidekick and he was hurt. He could not fight. So I won.

Now in my head I was thinking Okay, josiah you just one your first match so that's good, What more can they throw at me?

After an hour of every one else fighting I had to go up and break the board.

As I was standing there the sweat dripping down my forehead, The butterflies in my stomach saying “Oh come on, puke all ready”. As I ran at the three wooden boards I broke them and I was so happy.

As I was so excited to get my black belt I had to wait about twenty minutes just so the judges could figure out if they passed or not.

As I was standing in a row of red belts, I was thinking am I going to pass. My mother walked to me because up to me seeing that I was nervous, she calmed me down. Good thing she did because I was going to explode.

As the judges walked into the gym. They started to call out the names of the people that passed. I was getting nervous I was not getting called up. Maybe they thought I did bad. And then they said Josiah Karnehm you….
