It is my pleasure to give the strongest possible recommendation to Tamer Marzouk for his application to pursue advance dental training for children with special health care needs . I have known Tamer for 13 months, first as a participant Summer Institute for Clinical Dental Research Methods at the University of Washington (which I now direct) and subsequently as a volunteer on my NIH-funded R01 prospective cohort study examining the extent to which children are exposed to Bisphenol A from resin-based dental materials. We continue working together, collaborating on a systematic review.
Tamer is an excellent candidate for advanced dental training in the United States. There is no doubt in my mind that Tamer has the personality, technical abilities, cross-cultural skills, and drive to successfully complete and excel as a special needs dentist. My opinion is based on my experience working with over 35 post-graduates and junior faculty on clinical research projects over the past 10 year. He rapidly applied the necessary organized, systematic, and analytically appropriate approach to conducting this work.
