Birth Control Persuasive Speech

Imagine being in a world where teen girls could get their own birth control. Us females all know being in the doctor’s office with their mother or father and being asked that question “Are you sexually active” and scared to respond to question because you don’t know how your parent will take it. You want to be on birth control just for protection and to do the right thing but sometimes parents will say no because that might just give you the pass to go out and have sex. About 40 percent of sexually active teenagers admit to using any type of protection because they aren’t on any type of birth control and scared of pregnancy. The ages between 14-18 teenage girls get pregnant during these times which mean they are entering high school or ready to graduate get pregnant and don’t even get the chance to graduate or just drop out and the main reason for this is because they aren’t on birth control or wasn’t using protection. The reason most of the girls are force to drop out because they are force to take care of the baby and get a job. Without the help of plan b pills or any type of birth control a large amount of teenage girls will become unplanned mothers, making more of a financial burden to society. In today world there are many different types of birth control and making picking one isn’t always easy. These include condoms, the diaphragm, the contraceptive pill, implants, IUDs (intrauterine devices), sterilization and the morning after pill. In the last 50 years, the number of contraception methods has dramatically increased. You can differentiate between different types of contraception based on how they work. Let’s start by breaking some of these down and what they mean also some of the reasons why teenage girls should receive
