Bipolar I it is characterized by intense mania and depression that can last up for a few weeks. Then, Bipolar II disorder does not have a lot of severe mania episodes, but it does have at least one episode of hypomania and at least of major depression episode as well.

Doctor have to pay very close attention to the patient’s symptoms in order to get the correct diagnosis. As long as the patient is being completely honest with doctor about his or her symptoms. They just have to be able to talk openly and be honest with their doctor. “The patient’s symptoms can be assed using the DSM-IV. The doctor will want a thorough family history. Numerous studies show that a prevalence of anxiety disorders in individuals with bipolar including generalized anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive, panic disorder, phobic disorder, social anxiety disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
