With technology constantly advancing in the healthcare industry, many jobs have been created to continue these advancements. One of which is the job of a biomedical engineer. Through the combination of engineering with medical and biological sciences, biomedical engineers can make major advances in healthcare technology. While it requires a lot of advanced mathematics, being a biomedical engineer would be a good career for the future that I would be interested in because of its growth in the future, involvement with all the skills I have, and it pays well.

“Biomedical engineers typically need a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering or bioengineering from an accredited program in order to enter the occupation. Alternatively, they can get a bachelor’s degree in a different field of engineering and then either choose biological science electives or get a graduate degree in biomedical engineering” (“How to Become One”). The minimum of a bachelor’s degree would allow me to contribute to research and other types of engineering as well.
