Biography Of Susan Kare

Susan Kare was born in Ithaca, New York in February 5, 1954. She is an artist and graphic designer who created many of the interface elements for the Apple Macintosh in the 1980s. Originally Susan was an employee for NeXT (the company formed by Steve Jobs after she left apple in 1985), she worked as the Creative Director.
Education: Susan Kare graduated from Harriton High School in 1971, received her B.A., summa cum laude, in Art from Mount Holyoke College in 1975 and her Ph.D. from New York University in 1978.
Family: Susan Kare is the sister of an aerospace engineer, Jordan Kare. Susan’s parents were not found in her biography.
Major changes within her lifetime: There are no specific changes, only that she became the legendary Apple designer.
