Phyllis Wheatley. I am a very unique person. I have had an interesting life. At an early age I was kidnapped and enslaved. I was brought upon a ship that took me to West Africa. I have went through so much throughout my life. I learned how to speak and write english very quickly. I was taught by my mother. Within 16 months I could read difficult pages in the bible. At age 12 I began studying Latin and English literature. My parents appreciated my talent.
My place was designed by my white world, and I was virtually cut off from my own people. I was definitely still a slave. When i turned 20 years old, my parents sent me off to england with Nathaniel Wheatley. I wrote a poem to my husband Nathaniel wheatley. I published
