Michael Jeffrey Jordan, born in February 17th, 1963, in Brooklyn, New York, is considered one of the best basketball players of all time. Jordan’s love for basketball developed in North Carolina. Ironically, Michael kicked off the Laney High team because the coach thought he was too small. Jordan attended the University of North Carolina as a freshman, and was the young layer to watch. Jordan’s college coach, Dean Smith, was known as a teaching coach who stressed basketball fundamentals and a team concept that encouraged each player to sacrifice for the great or good.
