Enrico Darnell Nelson, the son of Percy Nelson and Johnda Johnson was born on August 14, 1973 in Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Hospital with. He has a wife, two daughters, and a magnificent home in Lake Elsinore, California. Some of his greatest achievements include having a wonderful family, living in his own house, and graduating from high school. He would say that his personality is demanding, controlling, picky, has a sense of humor, understanding, loving, kind, and caring. I chose to write my report on this man because although he has always told me about bits and pieces of his life I wanted to really know what happened. Also I wanted to tap into what his thoughts were at those moments in time.
Rico’s earliest memory of his childhood was watching and playing football with his uncles at around the age of 5, and that paved the way to one of the things he would be most passionate about in life. Then at the age of 7 his uncle, Ounicy, introduced hip hop to him, and he began to understand that hip hop was not just a genre of music but a brand new culture. The first Christmas that he remembered was when he got a JJ action figure from his mother, and JJ was a character from an old-school tv show. At this time, he continued to smoke marijuana, and this lead to him not doing his work and parting all of the time. Since he was doing all of these things while in college he wasn’t able to complete his academic studies, but that was not the only reason. Also he did not have any funds to pay for college tuition, because everyone in his family except his mother didn’t really express any support. This led to Rico felling empty and confused due to the fact that he didn’t have any family to go to for assistance during this dark period of time in his
