Biogas Vs. Corn Illegal

Decent Essays
I chose to represent biogas and how it is superior to corn ethanol. Biogas can be made from many different materials such as food waste, manure, and sewage. All of the materials are already being produced within the United States but not being efficiently used. By utilizing these resources the United States would become more self-sufficient. Therefore, as a whole the country would have to rely less on foreign firms that import natural gas by supporting industries that are already within the country. Those who produce these materials, like farmers, would benefit and the generated income would mean they would need less direct government funding to stay in business. Additionally the businesses created from this industry would provide a new job

The area of my topic for my Capstone Project is the environment and the United States should stop the production of the North Dakota Access Pipeline. The pipeline is 1,172 miles long and it will transport 470,000 barrels of oil per day. The pipeline will begin in North Dakota, travel through South Dakota, and Iowa, and end in central Illinois. The pipeline will be placed through the Standing Rock Sioux land, which is in North Dakota, and the pipeline would affect their only water supply if the pipeline spills. I chose this area because the media doesn't show what is happening in North Dakota and I want people to be informed about what is going on in our country and stand with Standing Rock to end this battle.…

In the last week of February, a historical event took place here in the U.S. when a tanker left the coast of Louisiana carrying America’s first liquefied natural gas (LNG) export to Brazil. Symbolically, the tanker marked a new era of energy production and trade and was a sign of the U.S.’s new position as an independent player in the Energy Sector. In many ways, this milestone was made possible by the decade-old shale boom that was pioneered and propelled by the energy visionary, Mr. Aubrey McClendon. Mr. McClendon died on March 2nd in a one-man car crash in Oklahoma City at 56 years old. McClendon was undoubtedly a pioneer in the U.S. energy industry and a brash risk-taker.…

1.0 Introduction Richard J. Muller is an accomplished professor at the University of California at Berkeley with expertise in a variety of areas including: energy efficiency, conservation, solar power, and nuclear power. His book “Energy for Future Presidents” is an open monologue where Muller expresses his thoughts on the current state of energy sources and its potential in a growing world where the demand for energy is continually escalating. The need for this book stems from a lack of in-depth knowledge about energy sources and the issues surrounding it. This publication focuses around exploring alternatives for energy security in the United States, while also keeping in mind the effects that these energy sources have on global warming. One of the greatest strengths encompassed within the reading pertains to the author’s ability to be non-subjective in his writing and that the author offers a different perspective on energy; separate from the way the world understands it.…

The government cannot interfere in our religious practices and they also can not endorse one particular religion. Lastly, “Welfare” because although it was created to help Americans in need, the truth is some abuse it, so I created a system where the benefits would be distributed…
