1.1 Introduction
According to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the organization should initiate the sustainability report to integrate the sustainability strategy into the business’s planning . HSBC is one of the biggest banks and financial services providers listed on London stock exchange and market capitalization as of to date is US$207 billion. Sustainability reporting is acts as part of their core business value and integrates the sustainability with the strategic priorities to enable them to achieve their purpose as a global bank.
1.2 Review
HSBC’s sustainability is governed by the Conduct and Values Committee. They priorities the sustainability programs and led by the Global Corporate Sustainability function. In the Sustainability Report 2013 , they highlighted the six key areas of how they integrate sustainability into their business strategy (see Figure 1). In the report , remarkable sustainability events at HSBC are listed below:-

They are actively seeking the long-term commercial opportunities through sustainable finance, sustainable operations, and sustainable communities. They are not only financial support to the communities and also encourage their employees to volunteer their hours given in work time and also trained them in this aspect. They initiate the environmental and community projects to encourage the shift to a sustainable environment and sustainable community. Moving forward, HSBC will develop the sustainable investment in “Green Bonds”, the initial objectives of these green bonds are used for financing the low-carbon energy, energy efficiency in buildings/ industry/ transport, and also funding to the environmental and land use purposes
