Net sales for the month ended September 31, 2016 decreased approximately 3.7% to $573k from $594k in September 2015. Bimba sales comprised 62.1% of total sales in September 2016 versus 75.1% in September of 2015. Lyon & Healy and Ocenco sales exceeded prior year by $53k collectively.

Net purchases in September 2016 were $119k or 20.7% of sales compared with $160k or 26.7% of sales. Lower volume and considerably lower metal pricing contributed to the 25.2% decrease. September 2016 net purchases reflects a 12.4% price drop on 6042 aluminum our most commonly used aluminum, compared with a 1% price drop for the same material in September 2015.
Remarkably, scrap metal prices rebounded to some degree with aluminum gaining 15.4% during September
