Billy Wingate Monologue

Billy Wingate sat stubbornly, with crossed arms, outside his principal’s office, waiting to be summoned inside. His mother strode towards him, flummoxed by her son’s reportedly aggressive behaviour, even though this was her third visit.
“Billy, I thought I told you that everyone is free to do what they want, especially your friends,” whispered Billy’s mom, as she approached her troubled son.

Mary hesitated, as if to say something.

“Really?” questioned Mary, uncertain whether or not her troublesome son’s problems at school could be dealt with.
“Yes. I think that if Billy learns to care for something, his behaviour will improve. So, I think that Billy should get a pet”
“A pet?” wondered Mary. If my son Billy gets a pet, he will learn empathy, he will also become more confident and responsible and sociable. The pet would give him unconditional love and teach him that he doesn’t have to take out his anger on others. Hmmm…it would also free up my time…It would kill two birds with one stone… “I guess having a pet in the house wouldn’t be a bad idea. It wouldn’t hurt anything. Thanks for the advice, Mr. Warren.”
“Please, call me Richard,” replied Mr. Warren, shaking Mary’s hand with a grin, “it’s my job to do what’s good for the goose and what’s good for the gander.”

With Mr. Wingate out of town for the next week, Mary had to prepare dinner for herself and her

Whilst being reprimanded for his cyberbullying actions, Greenfield shows homework assignments to the vice principal in an attempt to persuade him to see from where his anger stems.…
