Billy Sunday's Life

Sunday was born on November 19, 1862 in Ames, Iowa . He was famous for being a baseball player for a couple years then felt called to be a preacher. Then later became famous for being all for prohibition. He promoted prohibition by preaching about it getting the message across to withdraw from drinking until he died. Sunday also was a strong defender of women's suffrage. Even though he supported the two, the way Sunday carried himself wasn't settling to people, because the ways of expressing something he felt firmly about. This led to him being publically criticized but, Sunday did not pay mind to it. He kept preaching his way ,what he felt was necessary to he said no matter how it came out to people. Billy Sunday was a strong character

    Warren G. Harding owned a newspaper before he became the 29th president. He served as a state legislature, lieutenant governor and senator before he was elected as president. Harding supported tax cuts and civil liberties, but he delegated a lot of responsibilities to his cabinet members. Some of the people he appointed were corrupt and there was a lot of scandals, like the Tea Pot Dome Scandal where the Secretary of Interior leased lands with a lot of oil to companies in exchange for personal favors.
