The Billy Goat Curse
How do you think the Billy Goat Curse started and what do you think happened during that timeframe? At first I thought the Billy Goat Curse was just a myth, but it’s actually true. The Billy Goat Cure really made Chicago Cubs fans very mad because they have not won a World Series until this year. Also the last time the Chicago Cubs won the World Series was all the way back in 1908 which is more than a century ago. Even though I do not like the Chicago Cubs, I still think the Billy Goat Curse is a very interesting topic to research because it explains why the Chicago Cubs have been so bad for over a century.
The Billy Goat Curse happened in the year of 1945, the Chicago Cubs were facing the Detroit Tigers in game four of the World Series. All of the Chicago Cubs fans were getting very excited about the game until a man named William “Billy Goat” Sianis came to the front entrance with his goat named Murphy and surprisingly Billy Goat was the owner of Billy Goat Tavern. Even though I am not a Chicago Cubs fan, I still feel bad for all of those winless years during the timeframe of the Billy Goat Curse. This whole curse probably would have never of happened if the guy named William “Billy Goat” Sianis never said that the Chicago Cubs were never going to win another World Series. All in all, I liked learning about the Billy Goat Curse because this whole curse was the reason why the Chicago Cubs have not won a World Series in over a century and I am very happy about it because I am a St. Louis Cardinals fan. Sadly, I am pretty sure the Billy Goat Curse is broken because this was finally the year that the Chicago Cubs won a World Series and I also think that William “Billy Goat” Sianis is happy about the World Series victory as
