Billy Day Narrative

I ambled around my family's spacious property, the same property I had traipsed around almost every day in my life. I had walked this property feeling elated, dejected, and even puzzled, but today I was feeling as aggravated as I feel when a teacher gives out homework on a sunny day. They were both seemed as if they were afraid to move a muscle. I also was frozen, as I didn’t want to tear Billy away from his interest. Though I felt extremely peaceful, I also felt like I was at a surprise birthday party, considering it was so astonishing to witness Billy so quiet and devoted. I tried to be as quiet as a mouse. Every time I inhaled the raw, earthy, pond air, I cringed, as I predicted with every next breath Billy would turn around and glimpse me. Though, I still crept closer, being careful to place my feet carefully so they would not hit any stray twigs. I tensed up with terror, as I knew what was coming. As I knew I couldn’t stop my foot from cascading upon down on the twig, it snapped. With a loud break, the twig split, breaking the perfect moment, along with itself, and sounding like a firecracker compared to the

Journal Entry 1 – Descriptive Entry (Act II - Proctor) Diary, Although I had promised myself to never open and write in this book again, I can’t help but feel that today’s events should be recorded in here so I can set them away from my mind. If the memories are remembered in here, I wouldn’t to hold remember them in my mind. I had just come back home after a long day of planting and tending the land. I placed my rifle down beside the fireplace as I was welcomed in by the wave of warmth, a distinct contrast from the merciless chill outside.…

Reflecting on the college application process, I noticed that the college essays were stressed very highly, but all the prompts ask for the same thing. Whether they are asking for an eventful moment, your passion, a hobby, or a chosen outsourced prompt, many students seem to convey the same messages in their essays. To get around this, one must ask a more inconspicuous prompt where the student’s character shows through their unique ideas. A prompt that is universal, conveys a meaning, and is always answered uniquely must ask for a narrative: Write a creative story. Walking through the woods one night, Agatha Johansson could not wait to arrive at her friend’s house.…

The fluffy, pristine white sheep prances on a vibrant green background, their little black faces lifting upwards and the shimmering grass swaying by their small feet. While Kevin Day proudly wears his favorite printed sheep tie to work at All Saints’ Day School, he emulates a shepherd as he leads by example and practices what he preaches to both his students and his peers. Not only does he speak in church, but Mr. Day also preaches and teaches through the way he lives his life. As both a history and religion teacher, Day tries to “spread the word of the gospel, but not necessarily using words.” Despite being a relatively new citizen of Carmel, Day is known throughout the peninsula for his voracious appetite for learning, unquenchable need…

My dark brown eyes, wide and vivid, begin to perceive a setting beyond the vast, green trees of my backyard, as I imagine myself on top of a mountain, observing the beautiful view from beneath my toes.
