(A)- It actually wasn’t just her father’s fault, but also Billie’s since she threw the kerosene out the door, hitting ma which is why ma was burned tremendously, which eventually killed her. I believe Billie should have forgiven her dad, since in the end, they needed to come together as a family and forgive each other for what has happened in the past and move forward in life. Even after the accident, Billie’s father looked after her, even if it didn’t seem that way. The dad also built the pond his wife insisted on digging before she died.
