Life wouldn't be life without music today. If we didn't have music the world wouldn't go round and round like it does. Music is our way to escape life and be free from all our problems bills, family and relationships. There are many different type of music but right now I’m going to talk about R&B and jazz. Woman and men could sing jazz or R&B. with the top records at the top of the charts these singers were unbelievable. Billie Holiday and Kelly Rowland are very amazing singers and they manage to succeed through their life even with all the problems they had. Billie Holiday was born on April 15th 1959. Her birthday is February 11th 1981 and was born in Atlanta Georgia. She is the daughter of Doris Rowland and Christopher Lovett. Kelly Rowland grew up admiring Whitney Houston and sang in the church at 7 years old . Her dad was not really in her life she left their family when Kelly was at a young age. When Kelly and her mother moved to Houston Texas she then met Beyoncé Knowles. Kelly Rowland’s mom could not take care of Kelly so she gave her away to Beyoncé’s parents where she had full custody of Kelly. Kelly and Beyoncé both grew up in Houston, Texas, Destiny's Child members began their first musical as Girl's Tyme formed in 1990 (Kelly Rowland). The girls that were in destiny child are Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland, Latvia Roberson and LeToya Luckett. Destiny's Child has sold more than sixty million records worldwide over the past few years .(biography.com/editors) After years of amazing success, they were signed in 1996 to Columbia Records as Destiny's Child with Beyoncé’s dad as the manager. After a couple years Latavia and Letoya left the group because of management.(klassicthrowbacktv) Letoya soon got tired of Beyoncé always being in the front and all the things her dad did for her but not for the whole group. Soon later Destiny child then became Beyoncé Kelly and Michelle.
