Hook: The architect to the "greatest turnaround in college football history". Snyder has not only turned this Kansas State Wildcats team around not once, but twice. Snyder served as Hayden Fry, (the head coach) moved together to the University of Iowa in 1979, with Snyder serving as Fry's offensive coordinator for the next 10 years. He helped Fry build Iowa from a program that had not had a winning season since 1961 into a two-time Big Ten champion.

Snyder led the Wildcats to the school's second bowl game, the 1993 Copper Bowl, and their first ever bowl win. The 1993 bowl game was the first of 11 consecutive bowl games for the Wildcats.

A few years after Snyder had retired he came back to coach K-State football again. The first season of his second tenure the team finish 6-6, and tied for second in the Big 12. They finished 7-6 the next season, and went to the Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium.

Snyder's most recent bowl win was in 2013 against the Michigan Wolverines. The Wildcats beats the Wolverines 31-14.

On January 9, 2016, Bill Snyder was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. He later made the decision to come back and coach at K-State for another season.
