“Legislators should be responding emotionally to these killings, and doing something constructive about gun violence. That means examining the mental-health side of the issue, but it also, inevitably, must lead to tighter gun controls.” This statement was written in the Daily Record in Parsippany New Jersey. I disagree with both statements the author of this article claimed. I don’t think America needs stricter gun control nor do I believe that people with mental health issues should be targeted.
The Bill of Right’s second amendment is the right to bear arms. I believe that is a basic right and the government should not be allowed to take away that freedom. Limiting that amendment in the Bill of Rights will cause controversy in the United States.
