In a period of an election, people look around and about for a candidate that has policies that will favor them. Most candidates, unfortunately, use this as a leverage to raise false hopes and promises. The people of America deserves better than that. A candidate should be realistic and not just for the sake of power, throw dust into the eyes of the people. William Jefferson "Bill" Clinton was the 42nd present of the UnitedStates and the first democrat to serve two terms in office since FDR. He did it in the intensity of partisan fighting and various moral lapses that had him on the brink of his demise. Clinton’s troubled youth - born after his father's death, abusive and alcoholic step-father to name a few- is what set the foundation for his road from Hope, Arkansas toThe White house. Bill was a natural leader, in his late adolescence he had the opportunity to meet President John F. Kennedy as part of a delegation of the American Legion Boys’ Nation. A photograph was taken of this encounter and has since become an icon image of Clinton. By the early 1990s’ Clinton was running for re-election to a fifth term as governor of Arkansas. However, by 1992, he has realized his ambitions and began to seek presidential nomination in 1992. Clintons main stance on the campaign trail was to strength the economy and balance the budget. By the 1996 campaign the Clinton administration was being dogged by political scandal-whitewater, illegal fundraising and sex scandals both public and private- but one again it was simply a fall and the “Comeback Kid” was back in full swing. Clinton’s legacy is reforming the image and operations of the democratic party.Bill was a good president during his time in office the economy experienced peacetime expansion, jobs were created and crime rates were low.
