Bilbo Alternate Ending

"I just love the mornings,” Bilbo was thinking to himself. The night before, Bilbo had just saved the whole party from a giant spider, and they were all very thankful towards him, since if he wasn’t there, they all would’ve suffered one painful, sticky death.
“Why don’t we sit down and enjoy a good morning meal, I bet most of us are sore from that spider, and there’s nothing like a good meal to make you feel better!” suggested Bilbo. The faces of the dwarves lit up, but only for a second, because Thorin reminded them “Fools, we cannot make camp, what if there are more of the spiders, plus we must make haste to the great mountain, we are to leave right this instant, we shall eat whilst we walk.” No one tried to argue with Thorin at that point,

The thing was giant and could definitely make you puke if you looked at him too long, but he also was strong, and his club wasn’t making him easy to fight.
“Cyclopses! Everyone run towards the back of the cave!” Yelled out Thorin. Everyone instantly obeyed and darted to the back part of the cave. Everyone was pulling out their weapons, preparing to fight a cyclops, when suddenly three more appeared. Well this is splendid, not only do we have to fight one, seven-foot Cyclops, but four of them, thought Bilbo. Instead of the Cyclopses attempting to fight the horde, they all smacked the ground with their clubs, exposing a giant hole beneath the dwarves and Bilbo’s feet. The whole was huge and they fell a long way when THUD, Bilbo hit the ground so hard he blacked out.
“Bilbo they have the others, we must get them and escape at once,” were the first words Bilbo heard out of Thorin’s mouth, after being awakened from his

“ 3, 2, 1, go!” Thorin jumped up and ran over to the guard and attempted to fight with him whilst Bilbo ran to the cage holding all the dwarves and smashed it open. Thorin ended up slaying the guard and they all ran out of the prison area. They didn’t stop running either, they all ran along any routes they found hoping for an exit. Cyclopses ended up noticing and the group was followed wherever they ran. Oh-no, a dead end what now.
They turned around to see around ten Cyclopses, all not looking very happy. The Cyclopses charged at them before they even had the chance to pull out their weapons. They only had the chance to dodge, which they did. The cyclopses ended up ramming their weapons into the wall, all at once, destroying the wall entirely. The dwarves and Bilbo knew they stood no chance against the Cyclopses so they ran out and kept running until they were miles away from the Cyclopse Den. They made it.
“Well, I managed to hold onto the supplies we stole, so mission

After he and his crew are caught in the Cyclops’s cave, Odysseus says, “He lunged out with his hands toward my men… he knocked them dead like pups… and ripping them limb from limb to fix his meal, he bolted them down like a mountain-lion, devoured entrails, flesh and bones” (9.324-330). In this epic simile, the crew members being eaten by the Cyclops are being compared to pups, and the Cyclops itself is being compared to the lion. This father-child comparison shows that the crew members are owned and controlled by the Cyclops and his whims and caprices, and Odysseus has not yet been able to use his cunning and skill to defeat the brutish monster. By likening the Cyclops’ behavior to that of a mountain-lion, Homer emphasizes the Cyclops’ primal instincts and its strength and physical power over such fragile humans as Homer’s shipmates. He uses graphic imagery, explaining in detail how the Cyclops determined the crewmembers’ every limb, to highlight its beastliness and danger when not contained and allowed to run wild.…
