Biker Boyz Critique DeWaun Bowman

The movie Biker Boyz is very powerful and it carries a strong message throughout the entire movie. It’s about the underground world of motorcycle clubs and not so legal street racing. A young man who is 18 years old named Kid (Derek Luke). Started his own motorcycle club named “Biker Boyz” after witnessing the death of his dad “Slick Will” at one of these races. He wants to be the one in charge the one everyone idealized or as the movie portrays it, “The King of Cali.” The label is currently being held by his biological father “Smoke” (Laurence Fishburne). This movie tries to depict something that happens in the underground world of the biker gangs. The end of the movie tells the full aspect of the entire movie when Kid said, “the difference between men and boys is the lessons they learn and my father taught me plenty.” I feel this is an accurate respectable movie. Even though they were not all used to their fullest capability like in their past movies, collectively it was an outstanding performance. The two main characters really nailed it, played by Laurence Fishburne and Derek Luke. Fishburne is "Smoke" champion Street racer who has never, been beaten. He holds the title of "King of Cali" and is the leader of "the Black Knights," one of the motorcycle clubs that races in the movie. Luke plays “Kidd” who is an upstart young man who wants nothing more than to dethrone Smoke. I could feel the emotions on each actor coming from the screen as if it was me, like when Kid found out that the man who he thought was his father actually was not. When he first was told by his mother you could see the hurt in his face as well as through his body language. The devastation from something like this could cause someone, it would be
