Bigfoot: The Loch Ness Monster

There are many mysteries of the world that have puzzled mankind since the beginning of time. You know things like the pyramids in Egypt, the Loch Ness monster, UFO’s, Bigfoot or my favorite: what do women really want. But what’s not a mystery is why some people who go to the gym year after year and still look the same or even worse. I figured it out and it’s simple; they haven’t reached 212 Degrees yet. Did I lose ya? Well think about what happens when you boil water. At 211 degrees the water is very hot but it’s not boiling because it must heat up one degree hotter to start boiling. We can call them the 212 degree people. I’ll give a few pointers. Drum roll please…#1: they ate a little bit less at each meal. No surprise here. Portion control will keep the calories down and the pounds off. Just look at the Europeans, they’re known for eating smaller portions than us Americans and they have the slender bodies to prove it. So if you don’t have time to measure your meals you can use one of those styrofoam picnic plates with the little dividers in it. Make the large portion your protein such as chicken, fish or meat and the two smaller portions will be for your veggies on one side and a slow burning carb such as a sweet potato on the other side. On to #2: Attend IX-3 kickboxing classes or strength training classes at least four times per week. On your days off you can do what I call “active rest” such as walking for 45 minutes or an easy swim or even a bike ride. Something not too intense but it’s still burning calories. And #3 without question is the most important you must cultivate a positive mental attitude. This means you have a non-quitting mindset each and everyday.
