I am now going to go through all the facts of this case and my come to my own conclusion. The plaintiff, Big M Drug Mart violated the Lord’s Day Act and challenged the law. The plaintiff claim that the act violated section 2a because the act forced all peoples of Canada to participate in a Christian tradition when the charter states that all Canadians have the freedom of religion. Not only that the Lord’s Day Act was stated to have no valid purpose other than to protect the sanctity of the Christian Sunday sabbath. Also section 27 enforces multiculturalism and thus only celebrating a Christian tradition violates this as well. I have also come to my conclusion about the case.
