In the movie Big Fish there is a very important quote about fish. This quote says,”You were a big fish in a small pond, but this is the ocean, and you are drowning.” This quote is very important. What this quote means is as a small town boy, where life is simple it does not take much to be extraordinary or special. Edward grew up in a small town named Ashton in Alabama, he was the big shot in town, he had always been the exciting guy who everyone looked up to. But now that he is in the more urban areas, he is not this extraordinary guy anymore compared to the other people out there.
