Army Knowledge Online (AKO) Army Knowledge Online (AKO) is an information that I us every day while I am at work and even when I am at home during the evenings and on the weekends. AKO allows Soldiers track and manage almost every aspect of my daily duties, AKO even allows Soldiers to track their medical readiness all the way to what items of clothing they have signed for. Organizations have the ability to make AKO a one stop shop of all their Soldiers. The amount of information that AKO allows to be submits and tracked by all Soldiers is limitless. When this system is not used correctly or not used at all by Soldiers and organization it can really make work and information very hard.

If you wanted to change your address of where you work you would first choose my account, then select account information. The next page it would take you to is all your information and all the fields for your address would be box that allow you to type into. After you in put your new address and submit it, at that time it will show up on your home screen. That information also is attached to you file now, if another person wants to find you on AKO they would be able to see your address as well. Updated Soldiers is the greatest thing an organization can do. When taking the time set up all the different types of site organizations can create work can be more productive. One of the biggest flaws about AKO is the users that use the information system. If the user does not take the time to set these sites up AKO fails as an information system.
