The process I took to begin creating my annotative bibliography consisted of multiple steps over the past three weeks. One of the first tasks I took included developing a “To Do List” and from this list I was able to draft a daily schedule devoting a minimum of 30 minutes per day towards executing these tasks. This schedule allows me to incorporate time management skills to reduce unnecessary stress. My next errand was to establish a firm understanding of what exactly an annotative bibliography is and aligned this definition with my Professor’s writing prompt. Although it may seem minimal these steps give me a solid foundation to begin my preliminary research regarding my topic.

"The Illusion of College Drinking ." Psychology Today 16 Oct 2003. web. This popular source contrasts with the others indicating that irresponsible college drinking is a misconception. This article doesn’t state that college drinking does not occur but that the image of college students being “drunkards” is mostly myth. With utilization of a study from University of North Carolina found that 2 out of 3 students did not did on the nights they were at parties and mon-wed 85% had no alcohol in their system. With these finding they ruled that this standard stereotype did not fit. From this study it had been quoted that “The fraction of students returning home with alcohol in their bodies had decreased by 15 percent. BACs greater than .05—the point by which many cognitive functions begin to be affected—were down by 23 percent. In addition, the average number of drinks consumed by those who were drinking decreased from 5.1 to 4.3.” indicating that this statement of fact contradicts average perception of the problem of college drinking.
