One way that it is important to recognize that my worldview influences my desires is that if my worldview is flawed, I may commit illicit acts while believing that my actions are justifiable. For instance, if my worldview includes an appreciation for polygamy, if I were to practice polygamy, I would believe that the practice is appropriate. Conversely, if I held a biblical worldview, specifically that man is to exclusively have one wife, I would strive to solely practice monogamy and reject polygamy. Furthermore, a biblical worldview will influence my desires to increasingly love God, while increasingly hating sin.

As a sinful individual, I continuously find myself in situations where what I know and what I desire differ. Whenever I commit

Good evening, Wakesha I enjoyed reading your post for this week’s assignment. The biblical worldview does provides guidance to the Christian health administrator in developing willingness and hope as an organizational leader. Wakesha, you stated one of my favorite bible verses in correlation with this week’s discussion board question. You stated, “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them (Romans 8:28 New Living Translation). When an organizational leader use this verse as a way of building hope and willingness within an organization, this teaches their employees that everything whether it is good, bad or ugly, it will be used to promote hope willingness…

I really enjoyed reading your post and certainly agree that biblical worldview integration is more than merely injecting a scripture verse randomly in a lesson. To your point, “relating scripture to real-time events and subject will make the lesson relevant and relatable” (MacCullough M. , 2006). Furthermore, with today’s classrooms being more diverse than ever before, learning about our student’s cultural backgrounds will give insight into their beliefs regarding faith, which will aid in implementing a well-rounded lesson that allows teachers to successfully integrate a biblical worldview seamlessly. While, it may seem easier to accomplish this in Christian schools, along with integrating Biblical worldview into lessons teacher can also integrate…

Emily Neighbors Professor Williams Foundations of Christian Thought 4/11/16 Christian Worldview The Christian worldview is a complex, yet simple one. If a believer were asked the question of, “What is Christianity?” it could merely be put that it is the acceptance that God is Jesus Christ in human form. He came down to the earth, showed us the correct way of life, and experienced an immeasurable amount of pain and death to save humankind from their sins, and that if one faithfully believes this and lives according to His instructions, then you are saved, forgiven of any sin, and will receive Heaven for all eternity upon death or His second coming.…

Your comparison from Moses and Jesus is very interesting and clear. The life of both was saved with a purpose: Moses rescued the Israelites from the slavery of Pharaoh and Jesus rescued his people from the slavery of sin. One amazing point is that Moses lived and die many years before Jesus was born. However, they are impressively…

I believe both a Christian counselor and a counselor who is Christian have much in common. The very basis for their understanding of the world is the same. However, both are very different in how their worldview shapes their therapy. The difference lies specifically in how their worldviews play out as they approach a client. As I worked through the major differences between these two approaches in therapy I was able to come to a conclusion of which fits best with my goals and personality.…

The Sermon on the Mount teachings are one of the most known teachings of Jesus to his disciples and followers. They represent what it is to be a Christian back then and even now. The way Christians live and the way they represent God has not changed and it shows that if you live the way God wants you to and bless people in your ways you will be blessed and greater rewards are waiting for you. Matthew 5:1-12 states, When Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a hill and sat down.…

According to Scott, the four-fold framework of biblical worldview is based on the scripture “as a whole” (Scott, 2011, pg. 61). First is the creation, which believes in divine creation and the likeliness of human with God. Second is the fall, which believes in the fall of Satan, Adam and Eve’s sin, and the consequence of original sin. Third is the redemption. It is an act of grace by God who sent His loving son to save the humanity, and “we through the death, resurrection and Spirit-gift of Jesus, God is fulfilling his promise of redemption and is remaking marred humankind, saving individuals and incorporating them into his new, reconciled community” (Scott, 2011, p. 63).…

Everybody has their own philosophy to life which is based on their worldview. A worldview is a conceptual scheme or intellectual framework by which a person organizes and interprets their experiences (Cowan & Spiegel 2009, p. 7). The biblical worldview answers the true meaning of life. Timothy Keller states the biblical worldview as being the creation, fall, redemption and restoration (2012, p.161). The creation refers when God created the earth and the heavens and everything was good.…

Sin can manifest in multiple ways such as; foolishness, unrighteousness and injustice, misplaced trust, hubris, familiarity, and idolatry (Powell, 2008, p. 114). It is imperative that we have an understanding of sin, in order to recognize that we have fallen victim to it, and to understand that we have the ability to call on our Father to deliver us out of it. God already warned his creation in Romans 3:23, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Therefore, we must embark on a journey getting to know what kind of sin we are up against, so that we do not continue to…

The “Sermon on the Mount” is recorded in Matthew 5-7. It is a collection of a number of Jesus’ teachings. In class, we talked about how Jesus was giving the disciples a new law. The Sermon on the Mount is the first times we hear of Jesus’ giving a sermon, according to the gospel of Matthew. The Sermon is so rich in things we need to do, think, and say, but I’m going to focus on the attributes that Christians need to display in order to have blessedness, how to pray and what to pray for, and a warning of false prophets.…
