Good evening, Wakesha I enjoyed reading your post for this week’s assignment. The biblical worldview does provides guidance to the Christian health administrator in developing willingness and hope as an organizational leader. Wakesha, you stated one of my favorite bible verses in correlation with this week’s discussion board question. You stated, “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them (Romans 8:28 New Living Translation). When an organizational leader use this verse as a way of building hope and willingness within an organization, this teaches their employees that everything whether it is good, bad or ugly, it will be used to promote hope willingness…
I called upon my college advisor, Dr. Downs, to inform me on better ways of integrating faith and learning. Through a series of questions, Dr. Downs advised me that the best advice is for me to look at my studies as a story that allows me to dig deep and find myself while also demonstrating to others how to do the same thing. Dr. Downs also reinstated to me that I must always rely upon a Faith-Learning Integration model when approaching the classroom. He proclaims that the best model that works for him is the Equal Authorities Model as he states: “This model proclaims that it is through the Bible and the general knowledge works that allow for historians to demonstrate equal authority between their beliefs and their general works.” Finally, Dr. Downs informed me of two prominent resources that I can look back to to understand how others were able to important their Christian faith into their major, just as I am.…
Every human being possess a unique worldview that is essential to their life and perception of the world. For thousands of years, care of the inner self was primarily the domain of religion. The advent of modern psychology in the late 1800s put this care in new hands; today, approaches to integrating the worlds of Christianity and psychology span a broad range (Entwhistle, 2010). Some individuals or factions in each field of expertise view the other with contempt, viewing spiritual doctrine and psychological research/practice as incompatible. Others pick and choose aspects to sprinkle into their own field, such as psychologists who see therapeutic merit in prayer & meditation apart from the beliefs that ground them, or Christian counselors who develop or borrow therapeutic methods based on similarity to Christian disciplines without attention to empirical methodology…
By using their cultural and literary forms, we are able to gain access to an opportunity to use what you know about the Bible to share with those who do not know anything about the Bible. Biblical Integration To close out this study, charge should be given to believers to thoroughly contemplate not only the ethical questions raised against these two tax systems, but also the biblical orientation regarding the following: the biblical view of wealth redistribution; the biblical mandate to pay taxes; the biblical view of freely giving and having the correct heart; and the biblical view of tithe. Professor Susan Pace Hamill of the Univ. of Alabama, during an interview with PBS, states that “The moral principles of Judeo-Christian ethics demands that our taxes raise a level of revenue embracing the reasonable opportunity for all in that the burden be allocated in a moderately progressive way”. Therefore, as this statement properly…
While I found several sites that talked about integrating a biblical worldview into my lesson plans, these were the three I decided upon. On the website http://teach4theheart.com/2014/04/28/should-teachers-leave-their-faith-at-home/ I found a small blog that talked about teachers feeling the need to leave their faith at the door of their Public School jobs. While this does not directly relate to how I would infuse a biblical worldview into my lessons it did give me encouragement that I could have a biblical worldview in my lessons even if I worked in a public school system. I currently work in a public school and it is a struggle for me to show or teach openly about the Bible, but in this blog Linda Kardamis says, “There’s nothing stopping…
