Biblical Worldview Essay Colossians 1:16-17 states, “For everything was created by Him, in heaven and on earth, the visible and the invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities - all thing have created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and by Him all things hold together.” Through this verse, it clearly states that God is actively involved with His creation. It is truly incredible how God has displayed His love for the world to see, and has given humans the opportunity for this relationship. Individuals have the chance to see God work in His world that He created in several ways. In Genesis, it shows the beginning of His creation. God is timeless. He was not created by any one or thing, He has always been here. One would read that God takes six days to create Earth. He tells the stars to shine. He raises the plans and trees. to rise from the ground. He pours water into empty cavities to create lakes and rivers. Most importantly, He then creates Adam, whom He breathed life into. Genesis 2:7 says, “Then the Lord God formed the man out of dust and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils, and the man became a living being.” God did this and did not stop there! He then told Adam to name every living creature. Eve was created to be Adam’s partner. God was pursuing His creation in Adam and the world around Him. Even after the fall, one would see that God seeks them in the garden and is walking around looking for them. His work in my life will represent His glory and the gospel in my chosen vocation. Right now, I am studying Psychology with a focus in counseling and a minor in Global Studies. After I am done with my undergraduate degree, I hope to start at a hospital, a counseling center, or church to gain some experience. As a counselor, and a believer, I know that I can show my clients that God is actively involved in His creation. I plan to work in a Christian environment at first. Even though I will be doing that, unbelievers will have to come and see me. I know as a counselor, I cannot force my beliefs on anyone. By the Holy Spirit, the words and encouragement I say will be a reflection of God being involved. Shortly after, I want to go overseas into the mission field. In doing this, I will be more free to be bold in my faith and explain my beliefs about God. I will proclaim His good name and His word. I plan on having a job to support my family and I overseas. Through this, I can make connections with locals around me. My husband and I will start discipling people and being intentional with them. Because of the doctrine I hold, and even if my life goes in a different direction, I have His spirit in me to share His love and
