First, they should look into manufacturing Bibles in countries other than Mexico. This could provide cheaper labor and less risk, due to the hostility between Mexico and the United States. Production in a different country may not save much money, but it could avoid …show more content…
Once adolescents see their peers bringing trendy Bibles to youth group, they will ask for them too. I would encourage David and Chuck to create Christmas specials that includes a personalized Bible and special Bible writing utensils. This could increase sales tremendously during the Christmastime, especially as it combines with the advertising of churches. A contrasting marketing route that David and Chuck may want to consider is producing small and cheap Bibles for missionary programs to purchase and distribute during their outreach. “Western Christians in Global Mission” by Paul Borthwick looks at the state of Christianity around the world, and provides a glimpse into how Americans and Western Christians can and should be involved in missions. The thesis of the book is that we need to get beyond ourselves to see what God is doing in the world, and be challenged to discover afresh where we fit and how we can be a part of God’s global missional plan for humanity. Throughout the book, Borthwick gives a great comprehensive look at where Christianity is currently at in the world. He begins by discussing how in the past, he understood missions from an American-centric viewpoint.…

The Bible Belt was first coined in 1925 by H.L. Mencken. Mencken used the term informally when discussing the Scopes Monkey Trial in Dayton, Tennessee. The Bible Belt was initially meant to be an insult to the people residing in the Southern states and the practices of the people. This has not differed in present day culture, especially when one is raised and attends college in Tennessee. States in The Bible Belt practice a strict form of Christianity, where some scriptures are taken out of context and used to instill fear.…

The video, Doing the Right Thing group Bible study by Charles Colson, Brit Hume, reminded me how morally and spiritually bankrupt our society has become. Greed and corruption run rampant among our business, schools, government, homes, and sadly, even our schools. Pride and greed tend to work together in the lives of many people, leading to divorce, neglect, addictions, theft, and many other immoral actions. Chuck Colson gave an excellent explanation of self-righteousness when he stated, “self-righteousness is the belief that you are so good that you can’t be compromised” (Colson, 2012).…

“Set your affections on things above; love one another; commune at the table of our Lord in one spirit; worship in spirit and in truth; and if daily adoring, imploring, and living the divine Life, Truth, Love, thou shalt partake of the bread that cometh down from heaven, drink of the cup of salvation, and be baptized in Spirit,” wrote Mary Baker Eddy in 1898 (Christian Science Versus Pantheism).
