Bible Number 7 Research Paper

I’ve always thought it was neat how different numbers in the Bible meant different things. It seems that God is trying to reveal something or give us a deeper understanding of scripture with their patterns. For example, the number 7 seems to symbolize something being “completed or finished” as well as divine perfection. The first use of seven in the Bible was found in Genesis 1 when God created the earth in 6 days and rested on the seventh and set it aside as the Sabbath, the holy day of rest. God also used seven as a time period for His mandates. For example, animal sacrificed were to be at least 7 days old (Exodus 22:30), the leper Naaman was to bath seven times for restoration (2 Kings 5:10), Joshua needed to march Jericho for seven

The sacred number seven within the Cherokees, is one of monumental value. Seven represents not only the length of creation in their view but also the length of morning. ” They took the rods and a box and traveled seven days to the west until they came to the Darkening land.” (Mooney p.253) Cherokees believe that the number seven is a representation of purity and holiness. This view also coincide with that of the length of birth as ones spirit enters into the next life.…

I believe that Jesus is the Messiah and I believe that some of these are truly prophecies and others I believe are not. Psalms was written as poems and songs, it is about David and His experiences. I do not believe that someone can just pick a single verse out of Psalms and say it is a prophecy to fit their own agenda. David was writing about his hands and feet being pierced because that was a common practice done to criminals at the time. There are more concrete prophesies in the bible about Jesus then the ones that we studied this week.…

Gothic architecture allowed churches to be bigger and taller than ever before, they used Flying Buttresses to take the weight of the walls and redirected that weight into the ground. The pointed arch also helped take some of the weight and allowed the columns inside the church to become smaller because, as they didn't have to hold all the weight of the arch. All this made it possible to have much larger windows, these were made into beautiful works of stained glass, which display scenes and messages that were important from the bible. This was necessary firstly because a fair amount of people in that time were illiterate and secondly with the printing press not being invented yet, copies of the bible had to be done by hand and that lead to not many people owning a bible. As a result the churches, who still wanted to spread the teaching of the bible, used artwork like paintings and sculptures in the churches to convey the messages.…

The seventy sevens start with the decree to reconstruct Jerusalem. God revealed to Daniel that there would be sixty-nine seven periods, i.e. 483 years, from the time the order to rebuild Jerusalem and the coming of the Messiah, the anointed. I concur with Miller’s description, “Christians have traditionally identified this "Anointed One" as Jesus Christ, who is called in the New Testament both king and priest” . There are differences of opinion as to the exact time the 483 years began. Some say 538 B.C., when Cyrus' decree was issued; this decree; however, was for the rebuilding of the temple, not the city.…

In this paper, I will be talking about the trustworthiness and historicity of the Gospels. The historical reliability of the Gospel accounts of Jesus’ miracles, and did Jesus claim to be God. Did his disciples believe he was God? The accuracy of the resurrection accounts in the Gospels, that is, did Jesus rise bodily from the dead?…
