There were two main kinds of biases in the story about hatred for black people and the judgement of people by their last name. The hatred for black people applied to most people in the county excluding black people, the Finches, judge Taylor and Mr. Underwood. This take a big part in the book because it leads to Tom Robinson's death because he was wrongfully accused in court just because he was black. The biases held against families in this book simply show how people are like by their names. The Cunninghams and the Ewells were poor but the Cunninghams were hard workers which paid their loans by giving their crops unlike the Ewells which were lazy and trashy.
