Social Services Meeting: On 10/27/2016, client Jessica Skipper met with assigned Case Manager for the family ILP Document Review. Client next ILP Document Review will be on 11/10/2016. Case Manager reminded client that attending meetings is essential for securing permanent housing. VRC was contacted by customer to inform that she needs to cancel her meeting with job coach Patty Warren, scheduled today at 10 am. According to customer, her friends car broke when she was on the way to the appointment. VRC explained that deaf interpreters services must be cancelled as well ,which will encumber in extra charge to the agency, since the cancelation as not done 24 hrs prior to the appointment. On my second day at clinical I observed an interaction between a client and two Occupational Therapists (OT) that really emphasised the importance of ‘capacity building’ and how it facilitates ‘empowerment’. A community OT was assessing the client for a new assistive mobility device. During the assessment the community OT directed all his questions to the Gage OT and never specifically asked the client about what she needed or required from the new piece of equipment.
